Tehran Auction holds its 17th edition on 21 July 2023 featuring 110 artworks from Iranian masters and emerging artists for sale including paintings, sculptures, photographs, and print-makings. Like previous editions, the auction is held in Parsian Azadi Hotel. The artworks with the highest estimates are a painting by Sohrab Sepehri with an estimate of 17 to 19 milliard tomans, a painting by Koorosh Shishegaran 15 to 17 milliard tomans, another artwork by Sohrab Sepehri 12 to 14 milliard tomans, and an artwork from Monir Shahroudy Farmanfarmaian 9 to 10 milliard tomans. Tehran Auction, launched in 2012, is an independent and private institution focusing on selling and introducing artworks by modern and contemporary Iranian artists and holds two auctions per year, one in the summer and one in the winter. Like all the auctions, you need to register first if you want to participate in the Tehran auction by completing the purchase form and getting a bidder number.
