The story of Darz started when we found out that despite the growing success of Iranian art on the international stage, there was no comprehensive and reliable source of references that would gather complete and accurate facts about the artists and their works.

That is why in 2015, bringing together an expertise in the contemporary art market and a previous success story in building an e-platform, we went on to initiate and later in 2018 to launch a dynamic platform shedding light on almost all contemporary Iranian artists from Iran and abroad.

To fill this gap, we built a continuously evolving database that infuses transparency into Iranian art world and initiates dialogue among those who are passionate about it.
