Tehran Auction holds its 16th edition on 1 July 2022 featuring 120 artworks from Iranian masters and emerging artists for sale including paintings, sculptures, photographs, and digital paintings. Like previous editions, the auction is held in Parsian Azadi Hotel with Hossein Pakdel as the auctioneer. The artworks with the highest estimates are a painting by Mansour Ghandriz with an estimate of 6 to 7 billion Rials, a painting by Reza Derakshani 6 to 7 billion Rials, an artwork by Farideh Lashai 4 to 5 billion Rials, and an artwork from Koorosh Shishegaran 4 to 5 billion Rials. Tehran Auction, launched in 2012, is an independent and private institution focusing on selling and introducing artworks by modern and contemporary Iranian artists and holds two auctions per year, one in the summer and one in the winter. Like all the auctions, you need to register first if you want to participate in the Tehran auction by completing the purchase form and getting a bidder number. You can participate in the auction in person, by telephone, or as an absentee.
