As one of the world’s most international art fairs, Art Dubai has further expanded its commitment to cultivating a culture of discovery, offering exciting new global perspectives and broadening conversations about art beyond traditional western-led geographical scopes and narratives. Art Dubai showcases contemporary and modern creations from around the world. The 17th edition is officially set to return to Madinat Jumeirah from 28 February to 3 March 2024.The three-day event displays artworks of over 400 artists from 40 countries across sections such as Contemporary, Modern, Bawwaba and Digital.

Art Dubai Contemporary showcases galleries from around the world, ranging from emerging art scenes to established centers, and offers new global perspectives to help cultivate a culture of discovery. This section, with the largest number of Iranian artists compared to other sections, is hosting Moslem Khezri, Shima Faridni, Sam Nikmaram, Sadaf Seyed and Faezeh Zandieh from Sarai Gallery, Ali Nasir, Ashkan Saneyi, Maryam Mohri and Shide Tami from O gallery, Reza Aramesh. Parviz Tanavoli, Mamali Shafahi, Yaghoub Emdadian, Nasrin Malek Sabet, Morteza Pourhosseini, Elahe Majidinejad, Elahe Farzi, Rana Farnoud, Mohamad Hossein Gholamzadeh, Naser Bakshi, Ghasemi Brothers, Seroj Barseghian, Farrokh Mahdavi, Farah Ussouli, Yousha Bashir, Pooya Aryanpour, Fereydoun. Av, Sahand Hasamian, Y.Z.Kami, Shohreh Mehran, Bahman Mohammadi, Maryam Aiyeen and Andisheh Avini are from Destan Gallery.
In addition to the galleries in Iran, there are a number of international galleries exhibiting the works of Iranian artists in this section, the most important ones are Carbon 12 Gallery (Anahita Razmi and Amir Khojasteh), Green Art Gallery (Dorsa Asadi and Kamroz Aram), Third Line Gallery (Laleh Khorrmian, Nima Nabavi, Farhad Moshiri, Shirin Aliabadi and Sahand Hesamian), Leila Heller Gallery (Soraya Sharghi, Arash Nazari, Parinaz Eleish and Naeemeh Kazemi) and Kerzinger Gallery (Ramin and Rokni Haerizadeh and Hessam Rahmanian).
Bawwaba, meaning ‘gateway’ in Arabic, the section presents 10 solo presentations featuring artworks created within the past year or conceived for the fair. Bawwaba showcases artists from the Global South who think of art as a place of reckoning and healing, confronting social and political issues, engaging in critical dialogue, and creating a sense of community and belonging.
The Modern section highlights the cultural dynamics that gave rise to today’s Global South. The section Reflects the polyphonic nature of the Post- War and Cold War-era. In this section, Leila Heller Gallery presents the works of Iranian artist Marcos Grigorian.
Art Dubai Digital explores the intersection of new media art and technologies in order to expand our understanding of contemporary culture. Continuing the investigation of new tendencies in digital arts, AI, AR and VR, the section presents the artworks through the lens of advanced technologies and offers possible approaches for the future of art and its perception. This year Art Dubai Digital hosts Sanji Gallery and Shirin Abedinirad's works.
