
Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art, also known as TMoCA, is among the largest art museums in Iran. It has collections of more than 3,000 items, including 19th and 20th century's world-class European and American paintings, prints, drawings, photographs, and sculptures. TMoCA also has one of the most significant collections of Iranian modern and contemporary art. The architecture of the Museum is also remarkable. The Museum was designed by famous Iranian architect Kamran Diba. While the exterior design of the Museum represents the traditional wind catchers of Iran, the interior design of the Museum resembles the modern Guggenheim Museum in New York. Open Days: Tuesdays - Sundays From March 22 until September 22 from 10 to 19 From September 23 until March 20 from 10 to 18 . The museum is closed on Mondays. and on March 20 and 21, April 1 and 2, June 4 and 5, and on 21st of the holy month of Ramadan, eid Al-Fitr, 9th and 30th of Muharram month, 28th and 30th of Safar month.

Ali Moradkhani, the Tehran's Mayor's consultant on artistic affairs, insisted on the absence of 2 paintings of Sohrab Sepehri at TMoCA. Those artworks have recently been sold at Tehran auction.

TMoCA: The Reconstruction is In-progress
Tehran Museum of Contemporary Art is, at present, being reconstructed. This process is supposed to last till mid-autumn 2018.
