Millon's modern and contemporary Middle East art auction, scheduled for July 11, will highlight more than a century of pioneering artistic production.
Starting with established Iranian modernists, the sale will feature masters from Lebanon and Egypt, such as Adam Henein and Ahmed Abdul Wahab.
The sale will also feature an important chapter celebrating the Turkish painters of the École de Paris, including Abidin Dino, Tiraje Dikmen, Fikret Moualla, Selim Turan and Orhon Munbin.
These artists have marked modern and abstract art with their innovative works and bold visions.
A highlight of the sale is a group of works by Orhon Moisand and Selim Turan from the collection of the Turkish architect Ozuz Orbey, who lived in Paris, in the Montparnasse district, during the 1950s and 1960s.
The Successful Bidder shall pay Millon, in addition to the Auction Price, an Auction Commission equal to a percentage of the Auction Price decreasing by tranche defined as follows:
25% excluding VAT (i.e. 30% including VAT*) between €2,501 and €500,000;
The tranche below €2,500: 27.5% excluding VAT (i.e. 33% including VAT*);
Public exhibition : Monday 8 July from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday 9 July, 11 a.m. or 6 p.m. Wednesday 10 July, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
