Bonhams is a privately owned international auction house. Founded in 1793, it is one of the world's largest and most renowned auctioneers of fine art and antiques, motor cars and jewelry. As of 2012, it has 66 locations worldwide.
Bonhams is one of the oldest and most famous auction houses in the field of fine arts and antiques. With active branches in more than 25 countries, its auction rooms from London, France, and Belgium to Los Angeles, New York, Sydney, and Hong Kong focus on selling the artworks. The Bonhams Auction House's "Modern and Contemporary Middle East Art" section will host two significant events this February, both of which will feature prominent and, of course, less-known figures in Middle Eastern art.
The first event of the Bonhams London 2022, which is held online, focuses on the online sale of Middle Eastern art. The distinguishing point of this event can be the display of the Palestinian artist Samia Halaby's "Jaffa" eight-part NFT collection. After Egyptian artists with 41 works, Iranian artists have the largest number of works with more than 30 pieces. Those interested in participating in this event can purchase their favorite works of art through the auction website and the Bonhams app. Buyers are required to pay a commission and insurance fee to the auction house for each purchase; prices will vary depending on the sale price and the artwork's dimension. The auction house's customer service will answer buyers' questions during the online auction event.
