Statement:

Daily drawing has accompanied me since the beginning of my academic education.

It became a way of creating; a way of refusing to surrender, and of carving out a space of my own amid spaces that had already been occupied. It allowed me to create in motion, without relying on large studios or static walls.

For me, drawing became a way of reclaiming space and constructing a personal territory within the bustle of the city—among people, trees, light, sounds, and fleeting moments; a place where a tree, a passerby, a child at play, or a moment of waiting were all equally worthy of being seen.

Gradually, these drawings moved beyond the role of exercises or preliminary sketches.

They were no longer preparations for another work; they became the work itself—the primary and final statement:

Life.///

Refuge in Life emerged from this very need: the need to take refuge in the act of seeing itself.

In these drawings, I try to see everything free from habit and preconception, as though the world begins anew each time.

What is recorded is not the exact likeness of a landscape, but the experience of encountering it.

This series brings together my daily drawings from the past two years, the result of years of sustained observation—a quiet form of resistance against emptiness, erosion, repetition, and absence.

For me, drawing has become a way of being present in the world, of taking refuge in life, and, at the same time, of preserving it.
