The latest series of works by Morteza Ahmadvand "The domed arch or dome, like the Mithraeum, was considered a symbol of the revolving arch and its sky was decorated with stars." Mohammad Moqadam Domes were associated with the heavens in Ancient Persia (Mitraism) and the dome over a square base reflected the geometric symbolism of those shapes. The circle represented perfection, eternity, and the heavens. The square represented the earth.
