Volta New York 2022 

Volta New York 2022 will be held concurrently with the Frieze New York 2022 from May 18 to 22 in a new place located in 548 West 22nd Street. In this year's art fair, Volta New York, which has specified its activity based on concepts of discovering, connecting, and collecting, has presented artworks from 49 national and international galleries. Volta art fair was held for the first time in 2005 in Basel, Switzerland, and provided a platform for important international galleries to take part in the event. However, Volta New York was held for the first time in 2008 and after that, the art fair directed its approach towards emerging galleries in the art market.  

Kamiar Maleki, director of Volta art fair (Basel, New York), said about this year's event:

"The art fair returns in full speed in New York and Basel this year."

Among artworks presented in this show, some belong to Iranian artists. Roya Khadjavi Projects has presented works by Morteza Pourhosseini, Parastou Ahovan, Atiyeh Sohrabi, Azita Moradkhani, and Roksana Manouchehri. Moreover, Barbara von Stechhow Gallery presented five artworks by Alireza Vazandeh, and Leila Heller Gallery exhibited works by Parinaz Eleish, Reza Derakhshani, and Soraya Sharghi.
