A catalogue of 265 lots featuring major Italian and international photographers.
The catalogue opens with a substantial section dedicated to women, both the most important female photographers on the world stage (Francesca Woodman, Sandy Skoglund, Shirin Neshat just to name a few) and women as subjects, before moving on to shots by the Venetians Berengo Gardin and Fulvio Roiter, Luigi Ghirri and Franco Fontana, and then to the American Gregory Crewdson. Also represented are Martin Parr from England, Abbas Kiarostami from Iran, and Andreas Gursky from Germany.
The selection extends to pieces bordering on contemporary art by Paolo Gioli, Michele Zaza, and Cioni Carpi, alongside works by surrealist masters such as Brassaï, Man Ray, and Kertész.
