The Wall and the Script I

A bronze wall-like sculpture on a stone base, covered with incised, stylised signs that recall cuneiform, Armenian, Aramaic and Persian scripts without belonging to any of them. It belongs to Tanavoli’s Walls series, which grew from the walls of Iranian houses, gardens and carpet borders and from his encounter with the carved reliefs of Persepolis.
