Living in a Burning House

Statement:

Amir, an Iranian by birth, is inspired by the political condition of the Middle East and the rest of the world.

In this exhibition, he turns to paintings that bloom with visual energy through textures, colours, and print accidents, as well as bronze sculptures of 'div' (supernatural, malevolent entities in Persian mythology). His work is, then, part commentary and part introspection.
