Statement:

The Suluk collection, as much as it is a work independent of my artistic projects, is in a way representative of a way of working with Iranian history and culture that I have been doing for more than two decades.

The works of the Suluk project, like other works of these two decades, attempt to uncover the visual and conceptual capacities of another part of Iranian history and culture that have been forgotten over time.

The Mantasha, a staff that is no mere staff! Kashkul, a vessel that is no ordinary vessel! are just two examples of the tools of the Dervish life that now lie before you, presented in the way I engage with the past.
