Statement:
"Kalanjar" is about the moment in which nothing has yet been fixed; a state between remaining and erasure, making and setting aside.
This body of work begins from the experience of living in relation to another; a place where resemblance can become both connection and rupture.
Repeated faces, sleeping bodies, and multiplied hands create a world in which the boundary between individuality and the reflection of the other is constantly shifting.
In this installation, no work is seen alone; rather, each enters into relation with another—observing, responding, or disrupting it.
In one part of the exhibition, three large paintings with similar structures but different destinies stand beside one another; this trilogy is a narrative of the artist’s relationship with doubt, leaving, return, and persistence.
At the same time, the series “Exiting the Image” is presented in the café space of Argo Factory, and through the dispersal of works across two locations, extends the idea of repetition into space itself.
