Statement:

Anali Vakili was born in Tehran in 1990, where she studied at Al-Zahra University from 2008 to 2014. In 2022, she came to Berlin with her husband. 

The exhibition is part of the Exam presentation on the master student degree at the HGB in Leipzig.

The works of Anali Vakili are rooted in their history of Iranian origin enriched with stories. 

In a new project, she will turn to the emotions caused by the loss being triggered by a loved one – from anger, fear and darkness to relief, joy and freedom.

Following on from her black books, the young Tehran woman will begin this project with a “black wall” in terms of tension to an initially enigmatic sound carpet Realize.

It is also the start of the annual project "The Amygdala Complex".
