Statement:
Throughout history, art has reflected external reality—yet always through the lens of a parallel world. These parallel worlds, whether realist or abstract, emerge from a subjective refusal to simply mirror nature.
Even when photography entered the realm of visual representation, it too soon turned away from faithfully reproducing the visible world. ///
In this exhibition, we ask artists to present their own form of hyper-reality, each shaped by their personal distance from the real.
Hyper-reality, in this context, does not necessarily imply surrealism.
Within the Iranian atmosphere—where confronting reality is often a complex and burdensome task—embracing hyper-reality becomes a way to survive, to continue living as an artist.
Viewers are invited to step beyond the boundaries of genre or style and instead face a reflection of themselves—a mirror held up through the works.
What unites us as Iranians is a shared sense of empathy and collective thought. Art, here, becomes a space where that connection can be recognized and renewed.
