Apollo

Humans’ desire in being present in the heavens, apart from the myths and legends, has revealed itself in mirrored ceilings and domes. Iranian’s immense thirst for such presence made them reflect themselves and the earth endlessly in the heavens by multiplying themselves in tiny pieces of mirrors endlessly. The western human sent his body and his eyes to the space and from up there he beheld nothing but himself. He beheld the earth and undoubtedly, his eyes filled with tears. Crying in weightlessness and emptiness. He found himself in isolation. However, my heart was so heavy that needed to embrace all of these. I had to send my body to space. I had to send my own self, my body, my eyes, and the mirrors to the space, so the heavens’ eyes might behold itself in them. It might behold the earth, behold human and behold me. It might witness the sorrow, the deep melancholy, and feel it with its whole heart./// The Apollos neither have a place on the moon nor have a base in the emptiness. Their legs are stuck in the earth yet their eyes are fixed on the space reflecting humans’ deep melancholy with their mirrors. However, in their own imagination, in a new world, in a placeless utopia, they stare at the eyes of their audience and reflect it back to themselves; like a monolith on the moon.
