Presence of Two Iranian Artists in Art Basel | OVR:2021

On February 9-12, Art Basel | Ovr:2021 runs on the Online Viewing Rooms of Art Basel, a virtual platform. In this edition, 59 galleries will participate from 21 different countries and regions around the world.

At this art fair, leading galleries from all over the world will connect with collectors and art enthusiasts. The main focus of Art Basel's virtual platform will be the presentation of created works in 2021.

The artists participating in this event have used different mediums including paintings, photographs, sculpture, installation, video, etc. The distinctive aspect of the vast range of artists involved in photography is the different ways in which they use the medium. The manipulating of analog photos and re-staging of other photos are abundantly visible at the event. The subject of the human relationship with the environment is an important theme in the field of painting in this period. One of the strong points of Art Basel is the participation of new artists.

The Catriona Jeffries Gallery will showcase 7 works of Abbas Akhavan and 7 works of Parinaz Eleish among Iranian artists.
