Charles Hossein Zenderoudi's Work to be Auctioned at Christie's Paris
24 Jun 2022The day sale of Christie's Paris will run the "Post-War and Contemporary Art" auction event on June 29, 2022. During this event, 105 works by prominent artists from the second half of the 20th century, including Robert Combas, Alexander Calder, Yves Klein, and Martin Barré, will be sold.
This event, which is a part of a series of auctions titled "London to Paris 20/21", is assigned to art from the 20th and 21st centuries. Building on the success of its 2021 sales ($178/321/022), Christie's Paris Post-War and Contemporary Art auction will run its next edition in 2022. The event aims to provide a platform for artistic dialogue between London and Paris, especially their important representatives in abstract art in painting and sculpture.
Artworks with the highest estimated prices are Lot 209 (€200/000 – 300/000) by Hans Hartung, the German-French painter, and Lot 225 (€180/000 – 200/000) by Frech sculptor, Germaine Richier.
An artwork titled "Beyzi + Nokte" (1971) by Charles Hossein Zenderoudi, the Iranian modernist artist, is presented in the auction with an estimated price of €50/000 to 70/000. He is one of the most prominent artists in calligraphic painting. One of his works, titled "As a Mirror," was recently sold at Sotheby's Paris for €150/000.
