Christie's Paris holds an auction for artworks from the 20th and 21st century entitled "Post-War & Contemporary Art" on 29 June 2022. This is the second year of this event after its success in the previous sale and it focuses on works by remarkable and radical artists from throughout Asia and Europe who pushed the boundaries in art during that period. The public exhibition is from 23 to 28 June for art enthusiasts and potential buyers to visit artworks closely.
Christie's, founded in 1766 in London, is one of the world's greatest and most important auction houses that has active offices in 46 countries today. It has salerooms in Amsterdam, Dubai, Geneva, Hong Kong, London, Milan, New York, Paris, Shanghai, and Zurich.
There are 105 works by well-known artists featured in this auction and names like Yves Klein, Hans Hartung, Zao Wou-Ki, Jean-Paul Riopelle, Alexander Calder, Antoni Tàpies, David Hockney, and Antonio Saura are among them.
One artwork from Charles Hossein Zenderoudi, the well-known Iranian artist, is featured in this auction with an estimate from 50,000 to 70,000 Euros.
