Sotheby’s will host this benefit auction on behalf of the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago (MCA). The 2025 Art Auction includes more than 100 spectacular works from some of today’s most promising and influential artists.

The live auction will be held at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago on Friday, June 6, 2025. Bidders unable to attend in person will be able to submit absentee and phone bids by contacting Lucia Villanueva Alonso at 312- 397-4044 or LVillanuevaAlonso@mcachicago.org before 12 pm central standard time on Thursday, June 5.

Please note the online auction has a 10% buyer’s premium, which will be added to the final hammer price of each sold work. The premium allows the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago to retain more of the proceeds of the sale and offset administrative costs. (There is no Buyer’s Premium for the June 6 Live Auction.) All proceeds from the 2025 Art Auction will support MCA exhibitions, acquisitions, and programs.

Live and online auction items will be on view at the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago beginning May 30, 2025.
