Phillips held its live auction "Modern & Contemporary Art" in New York on Saturday, 26 September 2026, at 11:00 EDT (18:30 Tehran time). It was the season's first Modern & Contemporary Art auction at Phillips New York, held at 432 Park Avenue after a public viewing there from 18 to 25 September.
The sale offered 166 lots, with highlights by Derek Fordjour, Rashid Johnson, John Chamberlain, Wayne Thiebaud, Yves Klein, Cecily Brown, Fairfield Porter and Lois Dodd. 133 of the 166 lots sold.
The catalogue also listed lot 143, Holy Light (2006) by the Iranian artist Tala Madani; it was withdrawn before the sale.
