This October’s Post-War and Contemporary Day Sale will feature a selection of significant works by leading artists from the 20th and 21st centuries.

Headlining the sale are Sean Scully’s  Fire  and  Andy Warhol’s striking Vesuvius. Other highlights include works by Ali BanisadrJadé Fadojutimi and an important early work by Sonia Boyce.

This season, Christie’s has also collaborated with Blue  Marine Foundation to support their vital work in ocean conservation.

The auction Blue: Art for the Ocean will feature contributions from over 20 international artists. A key highlight is Marina Abramović’s photograph from her Performance for the Oceans (2024), capturing her as she stands on the shore of Fire Island, New York, offering her unconditional love and energy to the ocean.
