Art Brussels was founded in 1968. The event began as a local biennial, held across various smaller venues in Belgium. Since 1997, it has become a yearly highlight for the international art community, organised at Brussels Expo.

As a discovery fair, Art Brussels brings together over 150 contemporary art galleries each year, featuring both established and emerging artists across several curated sections.
