Around Tajrish

Statement:

I got more attracted to "Space", since i worked on Noir Cinema. I was more focused on people and particularly people around me in “Parties” series. Yet this time, people from alleys and streets set foot in my works; store-keepers, hawkers and pedestrians. With a camera in my hand, I captured people and places around Tajrish where I have lived for fourteen years. It was an eye-level view, just like Neo-realist movies and unlike the noir-related series. As in Desica and Rossellini movies, my actors were normal people and not my friends at parties anymore; it was the crowd and the people's day life that fascinated me, the interior spaces of the cafes and public places.
