(on the 100th anniversary of the death of Gustav Klimt)
Klimt's last studio building is still standing in the middle of a large garden on the Viennese Suburban. A sole rose bush has survived the times here, nothing else. Klimt has been dead for a hundred years, as well his collectors and patrons are no longer alive. A lot of them have been persecuted, robbed, expelled or murdered by the National Socialists. Part of Klimt's works were lost, burned or disappeared without a trace. The rest is no longer found on the salon walls of his collectors, but mostly in museum rooms.
