statement:
The upcoming collection was inspired by the efforts of a personality named Anna Coleman Ladd. Ladd came to the aid of wounded soldiers in his studio in France during World War I; The soldiers who had severe facial wounds and injuries and because of these problems were not able to return to their families and country even after the war. This situation sometimes lasted for several months and even several years.
Ladd used materials such as copper and plaster to mold the faces of these soldiers. After painting, he created masks that significantly improved the faces of these soldiers and increased their self-confidence and psychological cohesion, and finally decided to return to It was the direction of the family and the country.
In addition, in these images, we see the active presence of women in the field of war and its relations. Women, who are the core of the soldiers' families, inevitably play a vital role in this field. Here we face a paradoxical matter, a person who on the one hand seeks the end of the war and the return of his loved ones, actively prolongs the war.
