Come to My Story A woman standing at the end of some elements taken from history, stories, Persian miniatures, and objects. A woman who has sometimes closed her eyes, or cutting her ears or hair. Azin Rostami’s paintings both allude to Persian history and literature, and show elements of the inner rebellions of the contemporary woman. These paintings are a compressed manifestation of the experience of living in a rugged, but glorious and rich, history. Her first materials are classic Persian love-stories, but she goes over this limit and uses new combinations to show a glimpse of a woman’s world, making a chaotic reunion with the richness of history and the life of today, to narrate her own story.
