A tall man-made structure that is always taller than its width, often by a significant factor and normaly has important benefits and funktions.
"burj" is arabic form of the word "burg" which entered Aramaic from the original Greek word and then Arabic and finally found its way to Farsi.
It is also Family with the word "burg" in German, Dutch and Old English, "borg" in Scandinavian, burgh in Middle English and Scots.
Also in Middle Persian, the word Borz, like Alborz, means "high, tall, great" and it is related to the word "Burj".
