Statement:

“After the Last Wound” is a body of work that takes shape in the space between reality and fiction, where trees and fox figures meet within a shared landscape.

The trees carry traces of decay and fracture. Their wounded trunks and branches remain in the image not as signs of a specific event, but as traces of something that has passed. 

The body of the tree becomes a surface on which time accumulates—a surface that can never be entirely cleansed of the past.

Among these worn bodies, foxes emerge; sometimes as blurred presences, sometimes as extensions of the landscape itself. 

They exist in an uncertain space between living beings, spirits, and imagined forms, and rather than explaining anything, they alter the condition of the image.///

Their encounter creates a world in which the boundaries between inside and outside, nature and the body, reality and memory continuously shift.

“After the Last Wound” turns toward the moment when a wound is no longer an event, but becomes part of an existing condition. 

What remains is not the possibility of returning, but the possibility of continuing to be present.
