Statement:
GORBE is the artistic name of Arash, an illustrator and graffiti artist born in 1995 in Mashhad, Iran.
Working at the intersection of street art, illustration, and visual storytelling, he has developed a distinctive artistic language that dissolves the boundaries between these disciplines.
Since beginning his career in 2014, he has built a unique visual universe centered around his signature character, GORBE, where humor, Iranian culture, social commentary, and memorable characters coexist within a cohesive narrative.
GORBE’s work extends beyond city walls into stickers, canvas works, installations, product design, and collaborations with various brands.
The character of GORBE is more than a signature. It serves as the narrator of an evolving visual universe, with each artwork functioning as a chapter in a larger story. ///
Inspired by urban culture, video games, music, popular culture, and the everyday experience of living in Iran, this universe has developed a distinctive and instantly recognizable identity.
Alongside his street art practice, GORBE has collaborated as an illustrator and designer with both local and international brands and projects.
His work has been featured across a wide range of disciplines, including skateboard and snowboard graphics, apparel, and visual identity design. In 2020, he received the Best Graphic Design Award for DGK Skateboards.
Today, GORBE is more than an artistic alias. It represents a creative universe and an evolving brand born from street culture, continuing to grow at the intersection of contemporary art, design, and culture.
