Statement:

Intersection: Thereafter, the moment of transformation—of shedding one’s skin—is a kind of birth that happens repeatedly after our initial entry into the world.

Unlike biological birth, this unfolding occurs gradually over a lifetime. Because of this, neither we nor others remember this creative moment as a single point in time.

But perhaps we can envision it within a metaphorical landscape. Transformation might appear as an explosion, emerge through seeing a new image in the mirror, or arise from the complex web of circumstances.

What remains is the confusion of facing the moment of “Thereafter”—a state hanging between what has been and what we do not yet know will become.
