Statement:
Once upon a time, under the blue dome,
In the city of people
A city of smoke and show
A storyteller told tales:
Tales of lions and leopards,
Tales of graceful elephants,
Tales painted in every color,
Far from lies, pain, and shame.
Under the blue dome,
Come and see what wonders awaited...
The exhibition Under the Blue Dome is built upon the tradition of animal narrators in classical Persian literature.
It draws inspiration from enduring works such as Kalila and Dimna, Sindbadnama and Qabusnama texts in which animals find a voice, becoming mirrors that reflect human wisdom, morality, and behavior.
In this project, selected stories featuring animal narrators have been reimagined.
Painters, illustrators, and sculptors each through their own artistic vision have recreated scenes from these narratives, transforming them into contemporary works of art.
