statement:
This series of works is an endeaver to explore the blurred boundry between reality and imagination.
The process of creating these pieces -modeling, photography, printmaking, and painting- is not merely a sequence of technical steps but also a metaphor for the four stages of sleep: from the onset of life slimber to the complete descent into darkness of unconsciousness.
The moments captured in these frames appear to be unimportant moments from our daily lives: a man in a bathtub, a woman singing from a window, another descending a staircase of a house.
Yet, these seemingly mundanedetails become increasingly dreamlike with the passage of time, not real enough to be trusted, but not so dreamy to be forgotten.
The border between observing and remembering, between capturing and missing, is exactly where these works aim to stand.
And it is precisely at this point that the question arises: "Did this really happen?"
