Statement:

Not what is seen,
Nor what remains hidden.

Only a fragment of “being,”
In a garment sewn long ago

For someone else.
I simply stand

Amid the silence of postures

And the cries of faces
That were never spoken.

In this series, the faces come neither from history
Nor from imagination

But from a place between light and shadow,
Where the visages are half-revealed, half-concealed.

Each portrait is a pause on a silent moment
Not a moment filled with events,

But one filled with presence.

As if the faces have come only to be
Wordless, without narrative, beyond time.
