This series is part of a long-term project titled “perspectives against forgetting” which explores the relationship between places and past events with a focus on the concept of forgetting. ///

The photographs in this series are the result of my nocturnal wanderings around the karun river, reflecting on what has transpired there.

In these images, the place emerges as a witness to the past and can be perceived as a monument, transforming into a sacred site.

In exploring the karun river, the aim has been to examine the process of recalling and remembering past events through the concepts of place and memory, using the photographic image as a medium.

The question also arises: can places, through photographs, prevent the forgetting of the dark and hidden aspects of history and become engraved in collective memory?
