Statement:
Objects are our tangible memories. On the brink of migration, objects become carriers of our identity and roots. Each object holds a story of life, a memory of the past, and a symbol of our belonging to a place and culture. Every object is a piece of the puzzle of our identity.
By leaving our home and homeland, we not only change our place of residence but also say goodbye to a world filled with familiar and ordinary objects.
This separation goes beyond a physical change; it creates a rift in the fabric of our identity.
The current exhibition, by depicting this rift and individuals’ efforts to preserve their identity in a new environment, helps the audience delve into the depths of this personal and collective experience.
Group Exhibition of Video Art/Installation entitled "Awaiting Oblivion" takes place at Kakh Honar from 10 October to 18 October.
