O Gallery presents “The Suspense of the Body”, a collection of works by Soha Kabiri (b. 1985 Tehran).
In the collection on display, in an attempt to further discover her own identity, Soha Kabiri questions the social positioning of women through the deformation and abstraction of body organs and morphing them into complex and intertwined creatures. By depicting creatures—part human, animal and plant—that are simultaneously unnerving and alluring, defying easy categorization and identification, Kabiri brings her interconnected ecosystems to life for this exhibition.
