The Lapis Museum in Naples, also known as the Museo dell'Acqua, is a fascinating underground museum located in the historic center of Naples. It showcases ancient Greek and Roman cisterns, which have been creatively transformed with lights, colors, and water features to recreate their original appearance. Visitors can explore the Decumano Sommerso, a submerged ancient road used as an air-raid shelter during World War II, now enhanced with immersive multimedia installations. The museum also features the Archaeological Elevator, which provides easy access to the underground sites.
