Silk Road Gallery at Paris Photo 2021

Reading Time : 1 Minute

Paris Photo 2021 is on show from November 11  to 14   at the Grand Palais Éphémère in Paris. This year about 200 galleries and art book dealers from 30 different countries have participated in this event.
After a one-year delay due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Paris Photo is holding its 24th edition. As one of the most significant events in the world of photography, it brings together many publishers, photographers, and artists every year, providing an opportunity for the professionals and the public to discuss the industry's profound developments through numerous meetings, lectures, and debates. Leading galleries will showcase historical as well as contemporary artworks from the masters of the medium to the emerging photographers. Publishers and art booksellers will exhibit rare editions of prominent books and launch new books on the medium and other relevant media.
This year's program is very rich. The discussions taking place on the platform will address topics such as gender and identity as well as public support for the artists. In the "Elles x" section, Paris Photo has its main focus on women, while the contributions women have made to different media are introduced in another section.
This year, in addition to holding the exhibition in person, for the first time  Paris Photo has provided an online viewing platform for those unable to visit Paris.
Silk Road Gallery is the only Iranian gallery that has taken part in this event, featuring works of art by artists including Maryam Firuzi, Babak Kazemi, Morteza Niknahad, Ebrahim Noroozi, Jalal Sepehr, and Hashem Shakeri
