NADA Names Exhibitors for First New York Edition Since 2018

NADA (The New Art Dealers Alliance) announced the name of galleries that will participate in NADA New York 2022. NADA canceled its event supposed to hold in New York in 2019 and the first edition of NADA New York will run this year. NADA New York will take place from May 5 to 8, 2022 at Pier 36. Heather Hobbes, the director of Nada, said that she has been working to re-launch Nada in New York since 2018; considering it as a world center for art and as a main base for the Gallery Association. As a result of closing galleries in the pandemic period, Nada sought financial assistance from New York authorities in an open letter on September 11, 2020.

NADA New York will gather 121 galleries from 37 cities in 18 countries including Housing in New York, Luis De Jesus in Los Angeles, Document in Chicago, Machete Galeria in Mexico City, Misako & Rosen in Tokyo, Fragment Gallery of Moscow, and New York, and Voloshyn Gallery in Kyiv. In the main section of this event, the solo show will be presented in addition to the group show. The section of the solo show will present works of artists including Joe Minter at March (of New York), Julia Jo at Charles Moffet (New York), Elif Saydam at Franz Kaka (Toronto), and Elliot Reed (New York and Mexico City).

The fair will also consider a section for smaller presentations called "Projects", which will include Hair+Nails in Minneapolis, Piedras in Buenos Aires, Larrie in New York, and Espacio Continuo in Bogotá.

A few other fairs will take place in New York at the same time, including Independent, which will bring 66 galleries to Spring Studios, Manhattan, and TEFAF New York, which will bring 91 exhibitors to Park Avenue Armory, Upper East Side.
