According to the organizers, MENA Panorama aims to highlight the diversity of visual languages and narratives emerging from the region, creating space for artists to represent themselves and their communities beyond stereotypical or monolithic portrayals. Three selected artists will receive grants totaling $8,000, while outstanding projects will gain visibility through PhotoVogue platforms, Condé Nast Middle East publications, and the PhotoVogue Festival.
PhotoVogue has also announced the jury for this year’s edition. Among the selected jurors are renowned Iranian photographers Newsha Tavakolian and Shadi Ghadirian. Alongside a group of photographers, curators, artists, and visual experts from across the MENA region, they will review submissions and help identify some of the most compelling emerging voices intemporary image-making.
