10 days to the ending
6 Sep, 2025 - 11 Jan, 2026
The 36th São Paulo Bienal, led by Ndikung and team, centers around humanity as active practice, fostering space for diverse viewpoints and dialogues. With an extended run and no admission fee, it’s positioned as an accessible platform for introspection and encounter. The artist roster spans a global, decolonial, and multi-disciplinary spectrum, highlighting questions of identity, colonial history, migration, memory, and political justice.
“Not All Travellers Walk Roads – Of Humanity as Practice” inspired by a poem from Afro-Brazilian writer Conceição Evaristo, the Bienal examines humanity as an ongoing practice—questioning space, time, self-reflection through others, and creating platforms for dialogue and coexistence.
