The 2nd Triennial of Russian Contemporary Art is a large-scale study of the current situation in Russian art. Invented to activate the artistic environment, the second Triennial works as an ironic analysis of the relationship systems operating in Russian art. The show features more than 60 artists and artworks. The triennial is called “A Beautiful Night For All The People” after the title of a book written by Russian mathematician and philosopher Roman Mikhailov in a fictional, encoded language.(The title, however, is not the theme. Participants can choose to respond to the title or the book or retain complete creative independence.)
