Between June 15 and September 15, visitors can take part in the magnificent and thought-provoking contemporary art in the Borås Art Museum and around the city's public spaces.

This year's biennial is entitled Layers, Loops, Lines and is curated by Caroline Gustafsson and Daniel Ricardo Terres. The title alludes to the relationship between time, space and place, as well as its connections to society, surroundings and environment. In different ways, our current surrounding world and contemporary times are commented on, where art takes us to other geographies and presents alternative and fictional worlds - where the cosmological, natural scientific as well as enigmatic and spiritual intertwine.
