As the fall season gently approaches, Sotheby’s Modern & Contemporary Day Auction presents a selection of prominent works by sought-after Modern & Contemporary artists. Leading the diverse array of works are blue-chip stars Rashid Johnson, Georg Baselitz, Zao-Wouki and André Brasilier.
Joining the line up is an esteemed selection of figurative works from all periods, including Zeng Fanzhi and Yoshitomo Nara to Fernando Botero and Sanyu. In the abstract session, sotheby's features Korean masters Lee Ufan, Ha Chonghyun and Kim Tsang Yeul, as well as Japanese art icons Kazuo Shiraga, Chiyu Uemae and Atsuko Tanaka.
Beyond the canvas, there is a also a group of sculptural works by both renowned and emerging artists such as Ju Ming, Emile Antoine Bourdelle, Robert Indiana and Jaume Plensa, amongst many other names.
