About the lotA large-scale canvas in which fragmented figures, sweeping gestures and bird-like wings fill a dense, unstable field. The title, Latin for ‘human god’, is borrowed from Yuval Noah Harari’s 2015 book, and the painting explores humanity’s ambition to transcend its biological limits; blue and red dots at the centre allude to the ‘pixelation’ of the world. It was shown in Berlin in 2018 and in Den Bosch and Vienna in 2019.
