About the lot: Motabar made these self-portraits in 2001 in mixed media on canvas laid down on board, and signed them twice, in Latin script and in Farsi. The work is reproduced in Ali Asghar Gharebaghi's 2004 book on the artist, and came to the present owner from Nader & Nader, New York, in 2008.
