On 30 September in New York, Christie’s presents the Post-War to Present auction, the premier platform for today’s leading artistic voices and celebrated figures of the post-war period.
Offering fresh perspectives on figuration and abstraction through the lens of contemporary artists, such as George Condo, Matthew Wong, Ernst Yohji Jaeger and Yu Nishimura, the sale also features pioneering artists of the post-war era, such as Joan Mitchell, Alexander Calder, Alice Neel, Frank Stella, Sam Gilliam and Jack Whitten.
The sale is underpinned by sublime examples from esteemed private collections, including Joie de Vivre: Works from the Collection of Vivian Fusillo, Art is Art: Works from the Personal Collection of Wendy Al and Billy Al Bengston, Property from the Collection of Max and Cecile Draime, Property from the Collection of Phyllis and Fred Pressman and A Triumph of Figuration: Selections from the Joel and Carole Bernstein Family Collection.
The sale will also be highlighted with leading examples of Latin American art, including the work of Olga de Amaral and a continuation of offerings from the distinguished collection of Tiqui Atencio and Ago Demirdjian.
